There is probably no other tank that has inspired more curiosity and interest in the entire history of mechanised armour than the Panzer VIII “MAUS”. It is surrounded by an aura of mystery, and the facts are mixed about it with the legends surrounding growing over the years. The Panzerkampfwagen VIII "MAUS" was a prototype German super heavy tank from the Second World War. It was the heaviest and largest tank ever built. It weighed over 188 tons! The project was carried out in the years 1942-1944. Only two incomplete prototypes were ever built and never entered service. In April 1945, the Red Army captured both abandoned Maus prototypes, which were located at the Kummersdorf training ground. They were assembled into a vehicle with the hull of the first prototype and the turret of the second. This hybrid is still one of the main attractions of the Tank Museum in Kubinka near Moscow.
The project was developed by Krupp on behalf of Wehrmacht, and it was supervised by Ferdinand Porsche himself.
Although mass production was planned, only two incomplete copies were ultimately created. After their capture by the Red Army in 1945, parts of both vehicles were assembled into one complete model, which can still be seen today in the Tank Museum in Kubinka near Moscow.

Why choose the PANZER VIII MAUS set?
• Details that make the difference – The Maus model was designed with exceptional accuracy: from realistic proportions to authentic prints. The 1:35 scale is an ideal solution for both younger history fans and experienced collectors.
• Movable elements – The model offers many interactive functions: rotating turret, adjustable barrel and opening hatches. Thanks to them, the model not only looks great, but also provides excellent fun.
• Like a real vehicle - Maus moves on caterpillar tracks, faithfully reflecting the way a real tank works. The caterpillar traction allows for smooth movement on various surfaces, which increases realism.
